Hi, my name is Rachel Zuniga and I have been an artist for many years. I created this website because I have reached a point in my life where I would like to share my artwork with others. 

 

My journey as an artist began with my mom.  My mom was an artist all of her life.  I grew up watching her draw and paint scenes from around our home and around our small town.  It was through these lessons that I learned to find my own artistic talents. 

 

My art has always reflected energy  from within. When an idea begins in my heart and mind, it then becomes my work of art on paper. Throughout my life I have had creative spurts of energy from which my images have been created. At times there have been years that have passed between my creative works.

Over the years I have used different mediums, but my all time favorites are colored pencil and black ink.  I love the fresh black lines that define an image and then blending bright, vibrant colors to give the image life. I've also enjoyed linocut art because of the defining lines created with this style of art.

The images I've shared here have been created over several years.  When the energy flows.... the art begins!
